pure henlei grow slower than most rays and slow right down at around 8-12" disc .my old henlei pair was at 12" for 1 year. i then sold them on,and the new owner sent me a pic 1 year later and they was around 14-15" disc so only 3" in 1 year .

That looks more like a superspot Motoro ( a nice piece) which would explain it growing faster.
My female Hen was 9" when I got her 22 months ago and she has grown only 5". She seems to grow in stages. But I believe other rays influence growth. My larger female Leo growth excelled when I sold off a larver mature female in with her.
