Slowest growers

A. Rostratus is the slowest growing cichlid I've owned.
This h. Deppi was the same size as the a. Rostratus when I bought them and look at the size difference here. I've had these two for 3 years now.

I've found many of the thorichthys species to be slow growers for me. I've kept meeki, maculipinnis, and mixteco golds.

+1 on the Cubans. They few I have kept over the years have all been slow growing.

I'll echo the meeki. Do they grow slower or faster than cubans? I've had mine for 7 months. I bought him at about 1.5" and he's about 3-3.5" now. I've read it takes a few years to reach 5-6".
 
my severums, blue acara and green terror are growing pretty slowly. It has been almost a year now since I bought them of the size about half inch. Now severums are four inches while blue acara and green terror are only three inches.
 
I would vote Lyonsi, Ornatum, Atromaculatum, Festae, and A. Robertsoni in that order.

They all look awesome as adults and are very rewarding to growout!!
