Stock list is:

-3 Stripe Damsel
-Mexican Turbo Grazer Snail
-Margarita(Black Turbo Grazer) Snail (x2)
-Astrea Snail
-Ninja Astrea Snail
-Tiny Blue Algae Hermit Crab
-Tiny Red Algae Hermit Crab
-Scarlet Hermit Crab

Here are some pics!

Honestly... I wouldn't do a 10 g for your first tank :( its hardly any room for error . Try it though you may be better than most and you don't even know it! I known it sounds bad but you will have smaller cheaper fish if you DO mess up so its not terribly bad.

I have been warned of the difficulty of smaller tanks, but so far it seems to be going great. It's been running for about 4 weeks now and I haven't had any mishaps. No live corals either so it's decently low maintanence as far as saltwater goes. There is live sand though and I use Nutri-SeaWater Live Saltwater 4.4g Jugs to fill the tank and for water changes. I will possibly be trading in the damsels though for some "nicer" fish. These two damsels are awesome, but they're little ****s.. especially during feeding.

That's good to hear man! Nice work

thank you. gonna be getting rid of the two damsels in the next day or two. I love them, but they're too mean to each other. I've also seen them picking on the snails and hermit crabs every now and then. Thinking of going with a Fire Fish Goby or maybe some more peaceful fish like a Royal Gramma. Because of the tank size, all fish will only be about 2"-3" max and there will only be about 2 or maybe 3 depending on what species I go with. And now that my red slime algae is near non-existant, I may get rid of one of the Margarita Snails and the Scarlet Hermit Crab as well just to free up some space and to make sure the algae in the tank doesn't completely disappear. I would like the snails and hermits to thrive without having to provide any algae wafers or any other kind of food.

i started with a 12 gallon nanoreef and had it thriving for about 2 years...if you really want to get the full saltwater experience, look into corals....you wout regret it, although your wallet might.

I was thinking about corals, but like you said, my wallet isn't exactly thick enough for that. Eventually I want to do a 75 gallon mixed reef setup once I got some more funds available.

nice tank!

thanks!
