Small active sharks

Shark prices are stupid! My Horn shark was $$$

Where are you guys collecting/buying the atlantic sharpnose? I am thinking of setting up a larger tank/pond, but want to have a good source and shark picked out before beginning the project.
 
Not sure anyone has them for sale right now. They can be found all the way from the Gulf coast up the East shoreline of the US.
 
Atlantic Sharpnose generally aren't collected until late Spring thru the Summer months(May-September). And then generally only along southeastern & Gulf Coast states of the United States. Plus Atlantic Shaprnose general don't ship well over seas.

Haha thanks! The coast is a good 5 hours from me though. Thats along drive and not be sure of what I may catch. Maybe you east coast guys can catch one and I will come pick it up!
 
Paul where are you based? im only in southampton. £440 is not really a ridiculous price for what is basically a dwa animal in uk not requiring a dwa license.

Keeping cooler temp ponds as we are located in the uk isnt as expensive as it may first sound. With right construction and location is easily possible to do it with out coolers ext.
 
I'm in farmborough mate. Everywhere around me uses tmc as a wholesaler and it's only Maidenhead @ ascot that will get me sharks. Do you know anywhere else?

About 6 months ago epaulettes were going for the same price as bamboos. Now they're 4x the price...
 
not too big on salt mate i know lots of guys our way do use tcm tho. never asked porton who they use for salt, hmm wildwoods maybe worth a try? ill make a few enquiry's to a few salt heads i know and see what they can tell me bout shark stockists. I know a agent who deals with hi end trops but said he could get me a bumblebee grouper when i asked so he might be worth ago. tcm wont touch bumblebees i tried them when i originally wanted one so that couldnt come from them hopefully he might be a lead ill give him a call tomorrow for ya.
 
Cheers. There's a marine centre in Aldershot that can get a few things from my list. They can get black tips, White tips, bamboo, marbled, leopard and rays. Tad on the pricey side though.
