I have a 10 inch black but he's a wuss this little 6incher silver kicked his butt around for 2days so I had to give up the silver

4 years ago i had one 12" silver aro. When i put a 12" golden asian aro my silver killed her. 2 months before my one 5" silver aro killed another 5" silver aro within just one day when i put them together. So u can't keep them in pairs. U can try atleast 3.

how can the most peaceful aro IMO, silver, do all this damage! jus keep it in with atleast two others.
The most peaceful arowana is the black arowana in my opinion.
I thought my silver was peaceful because she was always scared of stuff, especially when I bought her. Now she's grown from 6 inches to 12 inches in like 3 months and I swear she has been hyper-growing lately, filling out in girth too. I thought I was overfeeding, but I guess this is the regular speed of growth?
I'm using a clear tank divider for now to separate the black (blue) and silver. Maybe they will get used to seeing each other and become friends in the future, lol.
The black is eating dried shrimp pretty well. I tried to feed it a Hai Feng red pellet today but it chomped it and spit it back out (too hard). I think if I soak the pellet first it will take it. That's how it was with my silver just like 3 months ago. She would eat the pellet then spit it back out because it was too hard so I had to soften them up first. Now she takes eats it quick and chomps it up in her mouth with her bony tongue.

Sell your silver and start with a <6" silver. As someone else said the silver is already double the size of the black, and will continue to grow faster. Best option would be to sell the silver and buy a couple more blacks!
