Hi guys, Dr.B

i really stay more in the polypterus section cause that is what i am a specialist in lol. but i do know a bit about everything. but i am trying to look for some small cichlids to breed in my 20 gallon. depending on what it is i can set up maybe a 5 gallon or something for them to not grow out but be safe. I do understand that the easier it is to breed the more common and less you'll get for it blah blah blah. but i don't however want somethign that i will have to devote all my time to because of my academics. i will be able to give them really what ever they need but i can't have something i have to watch after all day because of once again academics. i will however be able to provide extremely well care when i am home and i will do the best i can. I have been looking at a pair of agassizii fire red. fore i have heard that small fry sell ok. but if you guys have better suggestions try and hook me up.

Thanks in advance,
Sincerely
Dr.B:D

In a 20 you might be able to do convicts and most if not all species if ram(as in species) not all together inthe tank

Oh wow this kinda works out pretty awesome cause i am planning on getting some rams in my 75 along with some other cichlids so i could have a colony and then choose the best male and female. how much do the fry go for?

Um unless u go with electric blue I'd say fry average about 5$ a fish if you go electric blue they go for like 15-20$ a pop

kk thanks any more ideas lol. just to keep an open mind?

You can try apistogrammas or kribensis. Kribs would be the easier/more common ones.

what kinds of apistagrammas sell pretty good for i'd say 1 inch fry. i was thinking about some i think it's agrasizzi fire red? and second opinions on this or would electric blue rams be better? cause i would like something with a bit of a challenge at the same time i can't keep them all. if i could i would but life has tough decisions lol. so i thought that i could make a little money to support the hobby. but i don't want something really time worthy i want something nice. doesn't mean i'm going to disregard it i just can't be dealing with them 24/7.
