I am looking into keep a tarantula or two and I wanted to get a SMALL one that is not too bity or dangerous. I wanted to keep one that is colour ful and that I can handle and that isn't too hard to keep..

Remember..SMALL...COLOURFUL...EASY TO KEEP :D

What size do they get to? 4''? I was actually looking for like a 2 inchers but I dont think that'll happen :(

Remenbar all Ts can bite or even shed their hairs in the air when their really pissed of(thouse are venomous and will give you the bigest hitching), the risk even if small with most species its still there and makes part of the deal when your a T owner;)

I see...So smaller ones still pack a punch..? Also is their venom drained?

If you are looking for small species they do have some dwarf tarantulas. One that actually is only 1"-2" as an adult is the Cyriocosmus elegans-Trinidad Dwarf, another good choice is the Paraphysa scrofa-Chilean Copper that is about 3"-4" and is pretty docile or the Paraphysa parvula - Chilean Gold Burst. Then you have the Euathlus sp. "Flame" that also is small. Not to be confused with the Grammostola rosea - Red rosehair.

These that I have suggested usually won't bite but if it has a mouth anything can bite. If you get bitten it is not that bad, about as bad a bee sting. The injection site would hurt because the skin was punctured. No they do not take the venom out of the tarantula. This is how they catch their food.

These that I have listed do kick urticating hair, but not all species of tarantula have these hairs. Arboreal species like Avicularias actually shoot their "poop" at you and run away. Old world species do not kick urticating hair, but they will bite more readily and their venom is much more potent then the new world species that I have listed.

I hope that this helps you in your quest for a tarantula.

really the best things to get are Grammstola Roseas, Brachypelma Smithis, Brachypela Vagans' and Aviularia Avicularias

Actually they say the best beginner tarantula is the Paraphysa scrofa-Chilean Copper. They are small and docile.

All the ones you listed get much bigger then 2". The ones you listed are hobby standards and are easy to find in pet stores and online. The Brachypelma Smithi is a great tarantula and is one of my favorites but you are looking at 6"-7" and an adult can cost you $125-$250
