I've only lost 2 fish in 2 years. 1 wasn't even my fault because one of the fish I had ordered came in WAY smaller than expected, which was the rocket/hujeta gar. The flagtail was on me because he looked big enough not to be eaten, but I was wrong.

Oh yea. So that's 3. He came in smaller than expected too, which is why I won't order anything small online anymore that I can get locally so that I can see the size.
When stores list sizes, they should make sure the fish come in at the exact size you list.
