Have a 72 BowFront that has a small leak somewhere on the front trim. If I let the crusty white hard water build up that will plug it and cause it to stop leaking - it just looks horrible. Since this is such a small leak and obviously if hard water build up can stop it, I'm thinking there has to be an easy and fast way to fix this. I drained the tank and the inner seams/seals look perfect.

Any thoughts on how to easily and quickly patch this back up?

I've got a 19 y.o. 65 gal. Oceanic tank with the same seeping problem. White crusty hard water deposits start at the top of one corner, all the way to the bottom.
It's been that way for 10 yrs. No drips ever seen. I choose to leave it alone, other than wipe it off once in a while. I also think the hard water build up eventually plugs up the micro leak. IMO, Only alternative is to reseal, or live with it.

No, it won't seal itself. The mineral buildup will help wick out the water.

You may not have a leak at all. Do you have condensation on the inside of the lid? I had a 90G that would condensate water on the lid and that would follow the seam of the frame and drip of the front corner of the trim.

Try propping the front of the top a bit so the lid doesn't rest on the frame lip and see if it stops the buildup. On mine there was enough room I was able to slide the lid back a bit

After responding, I checked out the noted old 65 gal. I only use it as a QT / grow out tank and is kept in a back room. Wasn't really concerned with the hard water build up on the corner joint as long as the tank held water.
Upon closer examination, water condensation is accumulating on the lip of the plastic top brace. It's seeping down the corner seam from a slight gap.
Good call. Likely solved Aqualoon's problem too.
