Hello bottom dweller people!! I am looking for a smaller cat. 24" max give or take a fee.
Setting up my 96x34x34 and looking for ideas on the bottom. I love synodontis (spelling?) And I love tns, rtc, etc. I've had them before. I am looking for a more permanent guy to keep in this 480gal. Something exotic of course. Trigisomething was one cat i had before and had absolutely incredible markings and long white stringers on his tail. Can't remember what it was or the name, and for the life of me I don't recall what happened to it.
Anyway, looking for some ideas. Will try to grow a few plants again and the mid and high swimmers will be aro, armatus, and of the sort.

Vulture or Irwini catfish come to mind.

Think reefman meant O. siluroides.

Tigrinus!!

Not familiar with ompok. I will check it out.

Check out the “soldier catfish” I’m not sure what the scientific name is but the pet store showed me them and they are badass they have spikes all along the sides of thier body. Almost like the baby of a pleco and blue catfish. I also don’t know the max length lol but worth looking into! Rare find at a pet store though. I am near this place called house of tropics and they have very rare fish, even a Nile perch!

Synodontis longirostris is both a Synodontis and gets about that size and is really neat looking to boot. Just not terribly common.
