I know someone keeps posting madtoms up for sale on aquabid, and there are usually killifish and topminnows there too.

You know, using exotics for bait is worse than re-releasing captive caught natives. Fish used as bait OFTEN come unbuttoned from the hook and survive. Using an Oscar for bait is a good way to introduce an un needed invasive into a watershed.

I guy I know was fishing in KY for bass and sunfish and they were using native darters for bait.
Darters that kids caught and sold for pennies. Bucket full.

Though not exotic. I cringed when heard darters were being used as bait. As is they are a fish that is on borrowed time in many areas.
