Peacock eels are pretty cool. You can hand-feed them and everything. Some bury and some don't. Some are ugly and some are pretty. So get really picky when buying. You'll regret ending up with an ugly eel that hides all day for sure! But a pretty eel that begs for food is nothing to sneeze at. (They aren't true eels, but that's another story).

Fire eels get MASSIVE man, you will need a hell of a lot bigger tank.

personally, i dont like fire eels much. peacock eels, leaf fish, are my candidates right now.
