I'm considering getting an octopus that I've been told would be comfortable in a 14g Biocube but I'm wondering how I could/should reinforce it so he can't get into my filter area?

Ive had an octopus I caught in a biocube 8g for a couple of months now and he has yet to escape and I havnt done anything to secure it, they are pretty tight as is with only two small openings in the back for the pump on one side and heater on the other.

Good to know, thanks.

That looks nice but that damsel wouldnt stand a chance against that octopus. Mine eats EVERY thing in the tank including fish, shrimp, snail, crabs, and hermit crabs (his favorite). The only thing he hasnt eaten is this seaslug that ended up in my tank some how.

They are cool. Mine is very interactive and VERY aggressive. Ive kept piranha, stingrays, armatus and many other toothy fish and this is the only one Ive ever kept that is so aggressive that it is actually difficult to work in the tank. If I put my hand in the tank he will instantly charge me and try to bite me. When I use the magna float he will bite and I can hear him grinding on it and now its just covered in scratches from his beak. He is a bad little mo fo.

These various threads have made me want an octo...and at this point it will happen sooner or later.

Im thinkin blue ring... :D

At any rate...that is a nice lookin little cube you have there!

I'm aware, I got two of em to get the cube going and was planning to take them back to work. I just haven't been able to catch em yet lol.
