These various threads have made me want an octo...and at this point it will happen sooner or later.

If you can find 2 blue rings let me know! I tried for a year to get one..... short answer people who had distributers who had them refused to let them threw their shop. People who would sell them could get them threw their dealers. nice tank. If you wanna secure your filter area, plexi glass would be what i would use. i shop near me sells the right thickness to fit between the inner lip and the hood/top/light thing. I was gonna do just that till i remembered i had a 40 bowfront ready to be filled.

Easy...saw them on sale wholesale for less than $20 a pop. I wont be shipping any though, too much in the way of liability most likely for me. This project is years off anyways even if it does happen.

As far as blue rings go, good luck with tank maintenance and buying a new one every couple of months to a year. One slip up and you pay with your life or the life of someone else. Not really worth it.

No way in hell Id keep a blue ring. Maybe its just the species but my octo is VERY agro. As soon as I put my hand in the tank he is on me. He hasnt bitten my yet but Im quick to pull away.
