I bought a couple of juvie dovii just recently in the hopes of getting a female to grow out. Well, one is definitely a male. I couldn't sex them when I got them but since having them, one has started to color up at only a 2"s TL. He is even developing distinct spots throughout the unpaired fins. What do you think, definite male? Even though I am chasing a female, I couldn't help but be impressed with this guys color already.

looks like a male even at this size.

it's funny how sometimes they are so easy to sex yet others are hard even up until 4-5". hope your other one's a female!
