Hello fellow fishkeepers! I had question regarding peacock bass, i have a 36 gallon bow front tank with boeseman rainbowfish, dwarf gourami, 3 small angelfish, 2 Cory catfish, 1 bushy nose pleco, 3 mollies, and a pictus catfish, I will also probable be ordering a small senegal bichir in the next day or so. I have always been very into predatory fish but with the size tank I have its not really feasible but i heard of these smaller peacock bass called butterfly or royal peacock bass. i also found a short body butterfly peacock bass. so my question is how big do these fish actually get ive found a variety of different answers on the internet. Also I am not able to currently upgrade my tank but I most likely in a year or two so could i get one of these fish now and in a year they will be ready for an upgrade? what are ya'lls thoughts or recommendations?

Appreciate the recommendation but that person seams to see normal size peacock bass just young. I am looking for something say like a dwarf peacock bass.

No such thing as a dwarf peacock bass. even the short bodies grow to 14in - 18in. peacocks bass grow quite quickly too so your 36g will not be sufficient for them.
