You may have problems if the tank is too big. They like high current and very warm water. Providing both of those in a tank that large could be an issue. Most people who breed zebras and L134's seem to utilize something along the lines of a 40 gallon breeder or even just a normal 30 gallon. Not to mention they may just get lost in a tank that big.

Zebras tend to be in a species only tank for the reasons of water quality/specs, current, and heat. Sometimes you'll see people keeping cardinal or neon tetras with them.

I can downsize to a smaller tank will be easier for me to aquascape anyway. Would they be ok in a planted tank? Definitely not planning to keep them with aggressive fish, I'll have to look around before deciding which peaceful fish I can have. What powerheads do you all use? like brands. Also got lots of hiding places like caves that I'm going to scatter around.

I agree with the general consensus. Adult L46 should be kept in a species only tank. I keep & breed L46 & L260. I raise the fry & juvies in a tank together with no problems. They have the same diet & temp. Requirements. I would not keep adults together due to the chance of hybridization. L134's also like the same diet & temps. But are more agressive feeders. I have a group of (8) L134's in a40g. Breeder tank but they have not spawned yet for me. I believe theyneed a little more time. Good luck with your Zebs.
