small score at garage sale

I was just wondering how many of you guys hit garage/yard sales looking for used tanks at unbeatable prices? I ran into a church rummage sale today and picked up a complete 10g tank with a double tank stand and a 20g tank for 10 bucks total. Nothing major but a good find none-the-less. Now thats 2 more tanks added to the 8 others waiting for the fish room.

Yeah I ussually look for them. My friend got two 30gl with a metal stand that holds both of them, and they came with hoods and lights, and he got them for $20.

I was just going to ask the same question. I came home today from garage saleing with a 40 gallon hex complete with custom stand, canopy with floresant lamp, a aquaclear110, heater, cleaning equipment and chemicals, and it was completely furnached with a huge sunken pirate ship (yuck) and fish. I paid 60 bucks, pretty good I thought. I love garage sales. I have to be carefull or I end up coming home with a new tank or two every weekend.

Keep the 125 and the 45 and get rid of the smaller ones

my gf's lil brother came bursting in on me n her 1 night and dragged me outta bed so a house down the road and on his nature strip was a 6x1.5x2 tank and stand! Got it home in 5 mins flat LOL

now all I have to do is find a rummage with a dirt cheap 180 or 220 + gallon tank.....
hmmmmm not very likely....
most of the rummages I go to..if they have anything, its only like a 10 maybe 20 at most...
