how do you know it's the same fish that stay in FW and not just travel back and forth regularly?
were any of them tagged and tracked?

Ahh you didn't read everything ,did you!lol
A lot of our rivers are barrarged(blocked) off to separate salt from fresh. In brisbane river they are tagging and doing scientific studies.Even in the amazon they have been found nearly 3000 miles upstream.

The bull shark, when it can will hapily move between the salt and fresh .It has been documented living in feshwater for more than 6 yrs with no ill harm caused to the shark. While this Shark can happily live in both enviroments as long as it wants or has to ,it is not classed as a freshwater shark.True freshwater sharks like in the link I posted earlier found in Australia and Asia are born and bred in freshwater.

Smallest shark in the pet industry is the Coral Cat Shark (Atelomycterus marmoratus) at 24" in length at adult size.

Smallest shark in the ocean is a Spined Pygmy Shark (Squaliolus laticaudus) at 8" in length at adult size.

And no such thing as a fresh water shark.
I thought the smallest shark in the pet industry was the Marbled Catshark. I may be wrong, but that's what I thought was the smallest availble.

if i'm not wrong, the marbled catshark reaches an average of 27 inches.
I thought the coral cat reached like 26" and the marbled 24". At least that's what Aquarium Sharks and Rays I thought said, but I don't trust that book either.
