What is the general location you caught them at??

when you say general locality...you mean the body of water in which the fish were collected from...correct?

they look kinda like the babies i had. they were F/S but im not good with IDing babies since they have the same general coloring as i have been told before.

i think i'm going with longnose on this one. the picture quality is somewhat poor, but the snout looks too long to be florida/spotted. definitely not a gator gar though.

edit: do some of the fish have longer snouts than others? it may just be the different angles, but i swear i'm seing florida/spotted and longnose gar...

looking at the vid again im thinking i might have been wrong before..could you get a clearer picture?

without a good pic all we can do is guess. after looking at the vid a few more times i started second guessing myself as well. one looked longnose to me, then a few looked florida/spotted. better pics would definitely help with a possitive id and maybe once he gives richard the locality info that will help...assuming it isnt a location that florida and longnose co-exist.

all but one has the charterristic of fl/spotted the one has a longer snot but still has spots so i'm assuming spotted

longnose can have spots and oftentimes do have some spotting. is the one in the beginning of the vid the one has the longer snout?
