i was wondering what the compatibility of small tetras like cardinals or rummynose tetras was with red cherry shrimp. i feel like they would be fine with the adult shrimp but would they eat the baby shrimp after they hatch?
They would probably get some, but with enough hiding places, the cherry shrimp babies will grow up. Cherry Shrimp are quite prolific so a few eaten here and there won't dent the population.
I agree. If the tank is planted it can work. I have cherry shrimp with cardinal tetras and celestial pearl danios with out too much issue. The juveniles stay hiddent, the adults are too large to be eaten and the population continues to grow.
