hi guys ive a problem on my p tank.
i have this small white worms that looks like mini maggots crawling all over my glass tank :(

1.) what are there?
2.) what cause this? overfeeding?
3.) will this affect my P's health? they seem fine atm
4.) how to get rid of this? theyre not really pleasant to look at.

thanks guys. appreciate ur help.

they're called planaria. Harmless, increase water changes, vacuum gravel, cut down on feedings and they'll be gone faster than they arrived. Don't worry

Don't worry about them, just keep up on maintainence. They will get sucked into the fiter or eaten by the fish or removed by water changes. Not a big deal.

hmmmmmm.. ok i just did 50% wc... scrubbed the glass... turned up the heater on 32degrees. i can still see alot of them tho. damn theyre gross lol! i dont think it will be eaten by my p's coz its so small so its all up to me then. thanks for the quick help guys.

You know oddly I have alot of tanks that I overfeed on but never had a problem with these guys until I used pool filter sand in a tank.

your nitrates being too high may be a warning that these nasty little fellas might be coming. High nitrates could be due to some left over food in the tank some where which is when the planaria start popping up

Nothing to worry about.

Mine always disappear in a few days.
