I made this post earlier, perhaps it was deleted or I didnt submit it right but here it goes again...

Does anyone keep significantly smaller fishes with their rays? Neons, cardinals, discus, angels, etc? I love the look of a shoal of neons and it would perfectly compliment an amazon themed tank with a pair of motoros. Would an aro take out these smaller fish too, or are they too small for them to bother with? Will the rays chomp on the little fish, and would the little ones nibble on them?

Thanks!

It should be a complete the title thread. Like smaller fish with rays will be..........
To fill it in I would say, Smaller fish with rays will be poop after the ray eats them

I keep discus with my motoro ray and everything is doing great. I have 5 discus so far and they r growing and eating well along with the ray. The ray doesn't even seem to notice the discus r there.

threads merged and cleaned up!

actually, there are others who have posted pictures of just that, if the arowana is large enough then they don't bother with the really small stuff as it doesn't fill them up. The ray's may take a neon sized fish but that is not overly common a lot of it comes down to what your larger fish are accustomed to eating. The arowana you can feed everything but feeders and keep it well fed, same with the ray you may find it works.

they would just be really expensive feeders.
