confused, lost, and lonely
I was lloking through the listings in www.fishbase.org., a normally reliable source, and found some errors (like the isaline's cachorro being only 4" long when the last one I had was 14") so here are the five smallest serrasalmus species that they have listed, I know a couple are wrong so I will list their reported size and also the largest that I have found listed from reputable sites.
If you have first hand knowledge of larger ones please chime in with corrections.
S. sanchesi 4 1/2", (8")
S. nalseni 5", (7")
S. irritans 5 1/2", (6")
S. medinai 6", (8")
S. hastatus 6 1/4", (6 1/2")

Damnit gman now you have that damn song "scotty doesnt know" stuck in my head from Euro Trip!

As far as the list the only one I have personal experience is, as I stated in another thread, the S. Sanchezi who depending on the size imported can get 6"+. Mine was no less then 5" though I did not notice any more growth in the few months I had him.

What is an S. nalseni? I have never even heard of one before.
