TSN - tiger shovelnose can get really big, more than 2ft, even 3ft.
the Lima Shovelnose don't get that big, 1ft max I believe.
Lima's will get bigger than a foot, but it all depends on them having a properly sized aquarium. Even in a 75 gallon, they should hit about 18" if the tank is kept clean

Yea limas stay relatively small for a shovelnose go to www.liveaquaria.com and click on freshwater fish and go to large catfish and that should give you some info and if you like what you see you can buy it on the cite.
