Smallmouth Bass

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
agreed :)

well in a tank there is no hibernating period so yes they will have a longer eatting season and probaly eat better in a tank but but woundn't the lmb be stunted one cuz of being in captiveity and being that they are in a small body of water vs a big lake or other bodies of water

well, if that where the case, then most fish aquarium hobbyists keep would be stunted compared to their growth in their wild habitat. for example, pictus cats are still only caught in the wild, where they grow around a foot long. in captivity, however they only grow around 6inches. so yes, it would most likely be stunted if you dont have a huge tank

good convo on this thread yall no im with talking about any native i can go out and catch

keep it up fella's

I've caught many 5lb.+ Smallies in MI.

Not going to give my exact spot, but it is in the U.P eh!

Were they males, unsure, but I would have to say one or two of them had to be. Some nice Rock Bass in that area too. Would love to have one in a tank, but it's a 5 1/2 hour drive from my casa.
