Smart Car

I'm currently looking at the smart car as a daily commuter to school and work. School and work is at the same place, LAC+USC medical center which is only 8 minutes from my house.. I already have a 2001 Integra and 2007 TL type S but those cars are using more gas than I'd like.. So I was thinking of getting the Smart car.. What do you guys think? Yes/No? Either way I'm going to go test drive one this weekend.

if your driving 8 minutes, the car payment/insurance/gas for new car will cost more than putting gas in current car.

If it's only 8 minutes from your house why don't you get a bike? No need to pay gas and you'll be in better shape.

if it was that close i would enjoy the fresh air and walk. thats just me tho, save the car for other things

I'll probably sell my integra to cover the car.

If it's only 8 minutes from your house why don't you get a bike? No need to pay gas and you'll be in better shape.

yea, smart cars are pretty cool and saves money on gas. but like thay said, if its that close a bike would be awesome or just take the local bus

The bikes not for me. I have my motorcycles license and everything but after working at the hospital and seeing bike accidents.. I'd think twice before getting on a bike. You can be the best rider, but it doesn't mean others around you are great drivers.. Plus my schedules too crazy for taking the bus. 7am-7pm is work schedule, sometimes 3pm-1130pm.. and schools just a whole nother story..

It actually rated higher than most cars in its bracket when it comes to safety.
