Now this is what originally got me into pbass!!! I've been feeding them live blackworms, frozen bloodworms, frozen plankton, and live feeders here and there...well, I picked up some freeze dried river shrimp a while ago and tried to give them once before and the would just spit them back out...well just earlier this week, I just thought i'd throw some in there again and MAN!!! They just smashed them on the top water, splashing water out of my tank which surprised me cause they are only about 4"-5"...Man, I lied when i was that dead food was boring...lol What would be another good diet that floats??? what are good pellets for pbass?

there was just a recent thread on this... i like hikira, alot of people said good stuff about omega one.... get them taking the krill everytime before you try the pellets so you have greater chances of success. i like hikira gold

A couple weeks ago, I dropped some pellets in, closed the lid and left the room. About 1 minute later, I hear a collision and a commotion. My Mono hit a pellet so hard he smashed into the lid, popped it open, and ended up on my couch. I got to play the "catch the flopping fish game". I can't imagine how great it would be to fish topwater for them.

i have got cichla to hit pellets on the first try while others wont take them until you starve them for a while. im struggling to get some of my cichla on pellets right now.. i might have to go buy an oscar just to get them to eat pellets.

I feed hikari aswell, food sticks and massivore delight..

That must be a serious sight to see one of those things hitting the surface so hard. I was at the Shedd Aquarium today and saw some monster pbass, I had no idea they got so huge. They must just be beasts at those sizes.
