What exactly are your water parameters?

How can you say your water parameters are all normal if you don't know what they all are?

Too easy! pack carbon in filter(if you all ready have carbon then you don't have enough filtration)! good luck!

What kind of filters do you have. Without any more info my guess is you have HOB filters and you need to clean them out more or add carbon or possibly both. If not that something tells me your water parameters are not as fine as you think. Are you over stocked?

look at his pic hes clearly running marineland crap... like i said CARBON! too easy... get a canister filter... xp3 is cheap money your tank will be crystal clear and odor free! i run one xp3 only in my 75gallon with 200 grams of carbon and my tank never smells.. run there normal pads that come with tank and a microfiber pad on top of carbon it will seriously look like there is no water in your tank...:headbang2

no disrespect to your setup or anything, marine lands(if thats what it is..or any HOB) work fine for many people... you should definitely look into a canister.. and you can still run you HOB with it... or get an aquaclear... they run a carbon pouch just like a canister filter..... works great! just make sure it isn't near a window because algae will run wild in it...

Haha...I would definitely check them out, it can't hurt.

That said, is it possible something is in the filter that could be causing the smell?
