smelt?

I went to the grocery store today and was going to get smelt but they wanted $5 a pound. So I ended up getting shrimp for them and the reay ate it and one of the payaras ate a piece on the way down.

john i got ya covered here...... i fed smelts all the time.... my rays loved them also would feed silversides...

its about 4 bucks a pound for smelts at a local place but silversides are over 10.... i mix my feedings with shrimps and pellets.... so shrimp and smelts go in at the same time....

i get about 10 in a pack for a 1 pound pack.... when you cut them up on fish would basically feed my tank....

I feed 60% smelt and 40% shrimp. I go down to china town and haggle with them and usually get it by the case for about 1.50 per pound. Same with the shrimp. Buy it by the case and get it for 3.50 - 4.00 per pound deshelled and everything.
