If this has been answered before please point me in the right direction.

Are there any states in the US where snakeheads are legal or are they banned completely?

Edit: I just realized I somehow butchered the word Snakehead on the thread title. I think I was typing too fast. I swear I am not really that dumb...maybe I am.

Unfortunately its illegal which is soo stupid. You should be able to get them with a permit at least.
