Snail eating cichlid

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ive had some clown loaches go nuts for em some not. green spotted puffer is the best ive seen but they along with most puffers are brackish fish. i kept mine in 1.025 after he grew which is like full saltwater. if u just need snails gone quick goldfish, spexifically comets will do the trick for all but the biggest MTS and a dozen are usually about 2 bucks

Idk why so many people are recommending clown loaches for someone that has a 40g tank and only wants one fish. They get 12"+ and need to be in shoals. I agree with a puffer. Ever try ordering fish online? Because those store are far from you, and not really a quality place to get fish IMO.

Placidochromis Milomo (VC-10) is a malawi hap that specialized in eating bugs/inverts hiding in holes by sucking them out. Also has very strong jaws that can crush snails pretty easily, and this is also a fish that can be gotten at some petsmarts. The fish could grow out in a 40g pretty easily, but would need a larger tank after a year or 18months.

Where's my video of a snail eating a cichlid?!?!?!?

dedicated snail eaters are not cheap. and if your snails are MTS, then the list shrinks even shorter.

If you want fish and get rid of snails, I would just buy a few assassin snails.
