Well I bought a trapdoor snail for my tank and 1 year later there is about 50+ tiny snails moving around my tank? So any ideas of what to do with 50+ snails? If they get bigger I'm thinking of putting them into my pound any idea on how to grow them out then? Since all 50+ snails are in my 20 gallon

Are these 50+ snails all trapdoor snails? I've never heard of trapdoor snails producing that much in a year. They can tolerate cold temperature very well so putting them in the pond will work just fine.

Yeah its 1 trapdoor snail i had no other ones and they are trapdoor because I haven't seen snail eggs or anything I just see another 3-4 snails everyday and now my 20gallon its over run with them

Ahhh...I guess you can put them in the pond if you want to reduce the number of snails. Trapdoor snails are livebearers so you would not be seeing any eggs at all.

Yep thats how i know they're trapdoor snails, but I don't want to reduce their numbers as they might help my pond in the future so I'm thinking of growing them out. I just have no tank to put them all in. And I don't want to kill them trying to transport them as their shells are still translucent

Any photos of the babies? I still have a hard time believing though your trapdoor snail ever managed that number. I never had my trapdoor snails produce that many. If you introduced some new plants, wouldn't it be possible what you are seeing may be trumpet snails?

the last plant I put in the tank was java fern and moss but that was 8 months ago. I'll take a picture if I can find the damn charger for the camera that my sister denies she has
