posted other day about around 5 snails I had in my tank, took them out of tank, but more just keep replacing the ones I take out, it is no where near out of control, but I want to keep it from getting bad, 3 rbp in my tank so what can i do to nip this problem?

snail will multiple as long there's food source for them. do you leave any left over food in the tank? algae? try to figure out what's in your tank that is supporting the snail population. taking out every single ones you can see would help, also check if there's any in the filter. check your glass to see if there's any snail eggs. I wouldn't use chemical unless it's the only option left. had a snail out bread in my old 55g, I just took out all the ones i can see, crash all the eggs I can find and vacuum the gravel more carefully, take out any uneaten food and keep the glass free of any kind of algae, clean filter and filter media make sure there's no snail left in it. in a month or two all the snails had disappeared. good luck.

you should look at is as biodiversity. Snails are your clean-up crew and indicators of leftover food in your tank - hard to avoid with Ps. Snails only get out of hand if you don't clean up thoroughly, which is, again, virtually impossible with Ps. I am actually grateful for my snails, they prevent tiny shreds of food from rotting - they just eat it
If you have too many just pick them out by hand. Other than that, they do more good than bad.

Some girl here sells assassin snails, I think she has a mohawk. They prey on all other snails and decimate them. Pretty cool looking too. I think she is an invert freak or something, but she can give you the straight dope if you need it. Worth a try.
