i had a few snails come over with some plants i bought and now they're out of control. there is at least 100 of them. im thinking of tearing down the whole tank and cleaning the gravel just to get rid of them. any easier way to get them out. its a 10g btw

I use clown loaches to control snails. Unless you go crazy with sanitizing the tank and treating the plants, you'll never get rid of them completely. As you have discovered, even one egg and they will propagate like crazy.
You can also put pieces of lettuce under an upside down plate at night and then pull it out in the morning and get rid of the snails that will be on the plate. Once you get them under control it's not really a big deal anymore.
