Holy crap what do you do with all those, go buy a puffer

ahha no these are not food they are $$$$

I think they're cute! Do they have any value to trade with the LFS?

yes they do ^_^ my LFS pays me well for purple snails.

Hahaha I was just thinking, "I'll take any free extras..."

I will have some for sale in the market place in a few months.

What kind is the mommy I want one those are awesome

Mommy for most of these cliches is the light footed purple shown above,(she laid two groups of eggs in QT so no clue that dad on some) or a dark footed purple in the same tank though she just started laying it most of this work is the pail foot, dad is a lovely lovey Ivory that bred and raised my self.

Whoa.. that's so awesome. Love seeing the little ones cruising around.

me too! and with so much color its crazy ^_^

I love seeing the baby snail's faces. They're so cute. I always wanted a few ivories but was never able to breed any. I had golden males and dark purple females. Always ended up with a lot of purple and blue babies with a few yellow. Btw your male iv is beautiful. All the ones I ever see in lfs's have badly dented shells and not the full ivory color.

thank you very much I am so proud of my lovely male!

when I started with them I had a few golds and an Ivory...they died off and I was left with a bunch of gold babies....the gold babies bread together and I got gold and ivory babies!
I have soft water and work really hard on keeping shells nice they eat lots of snail-0 with tons of calcium from day one to keep them looking so nice, all my purple adults were sold to me and have less than pretty shells but the babies should be as nice as my ivory male when Im done with them.

Nice, I've got ram's horn apple snails and malaysian trumpet snails that I've been trying to breed. Not to sell but just to have a stable population. Unfortunately the fish keep them in check. When I had an aquarium with similar native fish and hated snails, they would grow like crazy. Now they don't make it pass being a pile of jelly.

Makes me want to get an ivory now lol I had mine for a long time but got so tired of them breeding sold them off. How big are your adults? The largest one I had was a little bit bigger then a golf ball. Main reason why I haven't gotten any.

lemme know if you need to part with any dark purple snails, I would gladly take them off your hands :grinyes:
I'm assuming that ivory is a recessive trait right? so if an ivory breed with a dark purple would all the offsping be dark purples het for ivory or what? I'm new to snail genetics

if they keep breeding you can just throw away the clutches you find, you don't have to let them hatch.
