Snails

Do any of you guys keep snails with bichers? I'd rather put a snail in the tank as a cleaner than a pleco...

I have a black mystery snail with my delhezi. They pretty much leave each other alone.

I have 2 apple snails (same as mystery snails, I think) with 4 young senegals in planted 80gal. No problem, even the snails' tentacles (or whatever its name in English is) are fine.

Mine play with pond snails but bigger snails should be fine -Anne

Mine are in with a bunch of stripped ramshorns. Never noticed any problems.

My biggest bichir puts the snails in the mounth and spits! but never really ate anyone!!

I have a 2 inch apple snail in with my 3 bichers. No problems at all.
The apple snail is one awesome algea eater.

i have many a malaysian trumpet snails in my tanks. Don't notice the little buggers except when I turn the lights on at night.

My large ornatipinnis ate snails: Smaller ones where crushed in his jaws, larger ones, like applesnails where just turned out of their shell, like a croc rolling.

My endlicheris, senegalus and delhezi do not attack them at all.

I have three Golden Apple Snails in my setup, never been bothered by my Bichirs, My Apple snails are constantly laying eggs in the hood of my tank, Great things to have Go Buy Some!
