Snails

Yeah... I have three mystery snails and they're awesome. Never lost a antennae or anything. It's funny to see them roll up on the sinking carnivore pellets when the bichir is feeding and just kind of move him out of the way so they can grab some....

Since this thread is already started, I have a question. I noticed that at some point, the front side of the snails shell looks like it's flaking apart and has a greyish, nasty kind of look to it. However, in a week or so, the shell looks fine and, actually, much better. That section of the shell is glossy almost to a mirror finish and the colors are very vibrant. Is this just part of the shell growth process?

Sorry, I do not have an answer-I will say that I have noticed the same with my apple snail. I have always thought that it was growth related.

Yes I think it's growth related, see my pics in previous page, my golden's have all beefed up recently, at first i thought there shells were damaged or they were lacking calcium or something, but no way ho zay, there shells are now in excellent shape, the growth rate can be amazing especialy when theres plenty of scraps for them! :clap i think if this is happening then we must be doing something right! Im sure it's just Growth!
