Not too bad. I paid 20$ for a leather necklace that looks like barbwire

eastern diamonback. it died mysteriously one day with no signs of illness. I think it may have bit itself.
umm, aren't snakes immune to their own venom? they have special structures on their cells that prevent their own venom from harming them. it's a safety mechanism in case they try to bite something, miss, and tag themselves. also, i had the same thing happen with my pueblan milk snake, so i don't think that's the cause. no signs of illness at all. it just.. died. for seemingly no reason. i cried that night, she was awesome. she was very docile, ate well, and to top it all off she had a deformed pattern. one of her stripes went off course and joined with the next stripe down.:cry:R.I.P. "ruby"
i have pics somewhere, i'll post them sometime. she was beautiful.

awesome necklace by the way, how much for one?

It is not the venom that killed it I dont think. It could have punctured an organ with its huge fangs. This happens a lot more with venomous snakes than you might think. Also not all snakes are immune to their venom. I will try to dig up some pics I have seen of one that was bit by its mate and shows severe signs of envenomation.

sorry, i should have worded it better. a most snakes are immune to their own individual venom (though not all)

yes, the damage of the fangs themselves does make more sense.. funny, you never think about what the fangs will do, it's the venom that you always think about.

Bump!

Just made some more. These are selling between $30 and $40 each at the Columbia SC show with a small discount to MFK members but you may want to hurry, I have a feeling they will go fast.

tell me what you think.
