Hi,you are better off getting a bowfin or other,you will risk a lot trouble trying other solutions!

id get one if i was in america and keep hush about it, but i wouldn't be asking on the boards about it
''I heard'' from some people that if they know you have one in a tank, they come to your house, hand you a 10,000 fine and then chop the head off your snakehead on your table lol
i say and will take this from one of y fav movies ( stop breaking the law *******) lol but really why risk it, they are my fav fish to, but i wont get one not worth it to me. i would rather get a bowfin, i could drive 20 minutes and fish for 1 at my lake. a friend is bring back about 10 of them. 1 for me and the others to sell or give away, the are all over at my lake you can even go catch em by hand in the shallow areas there is so many. i **** you not, i have seen my buddy do it lol.

The chances of you getting a Dwarf Snakehead legally or illegally will be difficult.
The only Snakehead you are likely to get is a caught one from a river.
This means Channa Micropeltes, Channa Marulius or Channa Argus.
All of those are in NO WAY suitable for a 75 gallon that the OP has.

wow, i didn't even see he was trying to put it into a 75g. bowfin is out lol. just get something else mean
I am gutted, it's just not fair, i feel like moving to the USA. I so want a bowfin and they're so hard to get over here. Seriously, i have loads of tanks of channa but never see bowfin available in UK. I hear they're similar but maybe not as studied as the channa spec. Are they a hobby fish in the US and do they have varients?
