C. marulioides , is a bit of an exception as well. Although I'd still recommend species only for them to see them at there best they have also been kept in small groups and in mixed tanks (not mixed with other snakehead species but other larger fish) quite successfully by many people. Channa diplogramma is also known to be fairly docile.

I don't recommend mixing channa species, but I've had success with a few channa species and other fish. Parachanna Africana, Channa Marulioides, Channa Pleurophthalma, Channa Lucia, Channa Bankanensis, and Channa Sp. Assam.
The only two species channa species that I tried to keep together were Lucius and Pleuro. It worked for about 2 years, but they started chasing eachother a lot; not doing bad damage, just harassing each other.

Hey, which shop have you seen plueros at? I might visit there soon.. After exams :)
Right now I'm trying to make my fishes not crowd in 1 corner of the tank, which means planting my entire 6 ft tank..

Hmm. Thanks! I tried keeping micros from Juvie... No luck. They keep dying for no reason and I gave up. No point killing them
