where to catch a snakehead in new york? i kno if you catch then than you either have to keep it orkill it and its the only leagal way to get ahold of one so where r they?

You are sadly misinformed of your US laws with regards to snakeheads. Even if you catch them you still have to kill them, it is an offence to keep captive or return alive. The law is clear, it has to die.

There is no legal way to keep these fish and continued pursuit of answers regarding illegal fishkeeping activities is frowned upon and will eventually get you banned.

I dont know the laws for New York, but im pretty sure transportation of live snakeheads or even viable eggs is illegal even if you catch them in US waters.

You can't legally possess a live one inside the US without proper permits (basically only available to zoos and aquariums), doesn't matter if you catch it fishing.

Anywhere you have a large asian population and a pond or lake is your best bet. I know when I lived in queens in 2005 they were found in flushing meadows lake near shea stadium. Not sure if they have been eradicated. They were also found in catlin creek in ridgebury.
