Snakehead for a 125g?

I believe C chronick used to have a pack of pleuros in a 180g.

Maybe solo, but I think that it would appreciate the extra width.

do you think a pair of pleuros would be fine in a 125g?

I haven't kept them so I won't comment on tank size,a friend of mine used to keep several of these in an 8ft tank (i have no idea about the width) with a few asian aros.One day the aros decided to go on a killing spree.All of his specimens had to be atleast 18".

how many Channa Pleurophthalma could live comfortably in a 180? one pair? or maybe a group of 4? I have heard they do ok in groups and are shoal hunters in the wild

Do you think a solo channa diplogramma would be ok in a 180g? I looked more closely and the pleuros don’t really have the standard channa shape they have big bodies and smaller heads

Since your in Canada anyway,look into subtropical species.Diplos can get over 24".

I guess I what I’m looking for is any very aggressive snakehead that packs a punch and can live comfortably in a 180 I really like the look of the diplo with the flatter head

Have you looked into Maruloides? I've never seen one grow to 24"+ when raised in an aquarium.

I would love an emperor do you really think one would be fine in a 24” wide tank?
