kinda cool lookin when they r small we used to carry all kinds of banned reptiles bk in the day stuff that we caught in the wild. had a snook for a while in a sw tank we had . everybody has done something they shouldnt have or kept something they shouldnt have in their time dont bust his bal@@.
I like the way they look also. I don't see what the problem is as long as he doesnt release them in the wild...
well i heard that in florida if you catch one you are to do whatever you want with it except release it back into the wild. is this true? if so in florida shouldn't there be an abundance of snakeheads in aquaria? im not taking any side im just asking.

These fish get seriously huge.
They are banned for a reason. Do you know how many people got these fish and said "I'll never release them" and did when they got waay over 3ft and became an owners nightmare.

LOL, either way its illegal. You shouldn't keep them, even if you want to. Where ever you go them from, you shouldn't of, because now its your problem. What you are supposed to do is kill them. Its makes perfect sense why they are banned from the US. A bunch of people can't care for them, and decide to release them, and now they are eating the native fish of the US. So technically, a lot of people care if they are illegal, and it just takes one "grown man" to screw something up.
Good luck either way with what ever you plan to do with them.

Illegal fish have no business being bought and sold. The fish need to be exterminated, not cared for. The sheer number of pets released into the wild that are actively destroying and have previously destroyed ecosystems is staggering.
If you are claiming to be a responsible pet owner, then don't own or encourage others to own illegal pets. Its that simple.
