If it is a snakehead DON'T tell anybody, you might even want to put a minnow trap in there, but since the ware was murky and you were 30' away it could have justas easily have been a juvie bass.

got a trap; now wat do i use for bait.

I say Definately catch them anyway you can...even if you use a fishing pole. And if you get caught...just explain to them that you're helping the environment by removing unnatural fish. :grinyes:

NO I really didn't jump in the water just messin with you about your tall , tale or short witch ever it be.....

i will do that then...
i havn't seen a ranger around that creek, in my entire life!

but if i see one, and if he catches me...do u thnk he will know what a snakehead looks like...?
should i say they are baby salmon? since we should be getting salmon in that creek soon...

Just BS it and tell him you saw some guy a couple of days ago release these fish and you tried to stop him, but it was too late and now you're trying to catch them before anything bad will happen to them and the environment.

With a bass tackle, use a surface lure, like a frog or also try bloodworm or night crawler. If you ketch one don't tell nobody as it is illegal in Califerny. Thet's a very good eatin' fish and I've been wanting to hook one of those.

Since no ranger go there, and that you can't keep the fish, why try to catch them?
Only bad can come out of it.

Leave it be. Unless you plan on following the law, which would be to catch to kill (Not judging, we don't have the channa control problem in our waters, so perhaps it makes sense, just doesn't to me), there is no reason not to let them be, and hope to actually have them develop in that small creek, as it's unlikely to travel down the strong current, it kind of is contained, right?
