My buddy and his dad were fishing on the northshore of Oneida lake and caught a 25" snakehead. Can anyone confirm this? I wasnt aware they were this far north. If he wasnt mistaken then say goodbye to sm bass population :(

They are confirmed in new York state. They are in the bashakill which is completely enclosed.

hock some of them, then cook them, they taste great!

ha ha ha most funny topic. You do realize, that the bass was brought there too? So you hate one invasive species because it could kill another invasive species introduced there from sport fishers long ago? I support Channa on its way for world domination. You should worry for your grizzly bear population. Channa gachua are known bear eaters!

I saw a documentation about bears catching salmon on a shore as suddenly a giant channa gachua grabbed the bear and ripped him apart.

and I see your back to your stupid problem!

I´m just laughing about the channa panic. It was more likely a bowfin. There is not a single scientific paper that says that Channa do any harm to any habitat. Entire lakes are poisoned and ripped off their inhabitats just because of rumors and panic. Seriously...that madness has to stop.
