Its a Channa Bleheri or Rainbow Snakehead. Its one of the smallest, only reaching 6"-7" max.

Unfortunatly thats not my one. I wish

I have a 125g and I was wondering which snakehead would be good in my tank. I did some research and I know there are small to large sizes. I just cant differentiate through all the latin names. It all starts to sound the same after awhile, channa this or that. Thought maybe you guys could point my search in the right direction.
Thanks

You won't find in Ontario, they are not allowed. Try Montreal...I just tipped Caporegime on the location of a bunch of bleheri and pleurophtalma at big al's in Montreal. Not sure if they have some left...

I just bought two pleurophthalma there two weeks ago, they are great fish :)

CAPOREGIME: If you plan on putting the pleurophthalma in the 125g, then you will have to only put other pleurophthalma with him. They don't get along too well besides for pleurophthalma and bleheri (between themselves of course, putting a bleheri with a pleurophthalma will eventually end up in the pleurophthalma having "filet mignon" for lunch :D .

arapaimag - did you keep that red with anything? :)

It killed and ate everthing except a bumble bee cichlid about 7" long.

Nobody could figure that out.

I actually had 2 that size. One I gave to a friend and don't know what happened to it because my friend was killed in a traffic accident.

The other one jumped out even though the lid had some serious barbell weights on top of it.
