I have had 3 Giant Snakeheads, they were unbelievable, never had anything like that. Freshwater Great White Shark right there. Dead food never worked, they only wanted live. But then of course there are many successful stories of them taking dead food from beef, chicken, fish etc. What species do you have?

I had a micropeltes before, as soon as i got it at 2 inches it was a monster would only eat mollies and ghost shrimp. Starved him for about 3 weeks before he started taking frozen bloodworms and FD krill. Fish can go up to a month without food so i wouldn't worry about it.

offer silversides at first let him get to dead/frozen food while at the same time it carries the fish smell hes use to eating. Then start offering a variety like shrimp krill mollusks... mine at it all.

Good luck

I dont have any snakeheads, never have, cool fish though. I am going through the same problem with my clownknife and my gar. After 4 days my clownknife just ate a piece of shrimp (only one little piece) but atleast it's a start. Gar nothing yet I'm gettin ready to try a few nightcrawlers tonight. Just remember anything you put in the tank that don't get ate you have to take it back out shortly or it will do serious harm to water quality. Good luck...

mines are giant snakes too...hehehe I have news guys...I have finally fed them bacons hehehe at first they wouldnt accept it until suddenly one of my snakes swimmed over a piece of bacon and he suddenly he noticed the bacon moved as if it is alive due to the wave they produced now everytime I put bacon they would always accept it hehehehe cool!! thanx for all of yor help guys,,I have also tried stringing the bacon it wiggle it they also eat it.tnxtnx! now my only problem is my clownknives :)

Awesome!:D from bacon you can move to others. Bait anglers often make sure that if they use chunks of beef or chicken meat it must be bloody besides of course being raw, the smell would attract them to strike. How many Giant Snakeheads do you have in there? Awesome looking and thank you for sharing.

But I must ask, isn't one bigger than the rest? And isn't that big one eating more or getting more food than others due to its size and speed? As you may have known, if his tankmates are small enough, that big one may turn on them at anytime at all as it has happened before...sometimes one would even eat another young Giant that is just a little smaller..that you wouldn't expect to be eaten. Make sure the little ones get food too, make sure they are looking pregnant too, it would trigger their growth rate.

Can I see another picture?:D Lol, good luck there and congrats!;)
