there are many different snakeheads with many different demands.. most of the large channa have a mean streak. I'm not saying it can't be done but you can't expect it to work, it takes luck.
Ya bad idea... if you raise them together from a small size it MIGHT work, but if your arowana is already larger and you stick a small snakehead with a it'll get eaten, and if you stick a big snaklehead in who isant accustom to his tank mate he'll likly kill the arow... I wouldnt risk it... it wouldnt take much for a large snakehead to take have a mood swing and take a chunk out of your other tankmates...
I know that everyone has there theories about this fish and that fish. But a while back my buddy got 2 snakeheads from a couple and put em in his 100 gallon with his midas jd oscar african leaf fish and his flowerhorn.
all the fish kept to themselves and were nice.
You take a risk putting 2 tetras in the same tank i think. Theories are great but no matter what anyone sais you will have no idea what the fish will do together until you put them in there. I would be careful and watch them as snakeheads tend to be a more aggressive fish and i know if i had an arowana i wouldnt want some snake head coming along and gobbling it up
It’s not a theory with snakeheads lol... They EAT other fish that’s a fact, if your snakehead is bigger then a tank mate the tank mate is food,
In some of the more docile species of snakehead they will tolerate larger/same sized tank mate's unless breeding... a breeding pair of snakeheads will kill EVERYTHING. Do even the slightest bit of research and you'll find this information is consistent.
