Hey. Since i added my redtail catfish in the tank my snakehead wont eat ! its a redline snakehead . which usally fed on small fishes, i baught 10 small fishes to feed it with it ate almost all but 1 left , now couple of days since i added the redtail snakehead still havent eaten anything , seems like hes scared for the redtail. also tried with shrimps he wont eat that either.redtail is almost double size as the snakehead . any ideas how to get it too eat? plz help :=):screwy:

assure ur catfish that the snakehead wont eat her and u will remove her frm the tank befo the snakehead snaps her tail...
kidding....of course she's afraid of the snakehead...
get a tank

ohh wait...the snakehead is not eating?
sry abt that,u mentioned both as redtail's so confused me...
answer is the same....the snakehead is either scared or thinking if he could take the catfish

get a tank

hes def scared , redtail did try to eat him once. but how to get the snakehead eating , will he eat eventually or do i have to remove the RTC ? thanks for all answers !

ok which redtail tried to eat the redtail?
allthough the snakehead eventually will starting again,i think u should remove one of them and put it in another tank

cheers

How big is the tank? The snakehead? The RTC?

not that big , its about 2 meters long dunno the gallons/liters . the RTC is about 20-25 cm perhaps . the snakehead is probally 10 cm something like that. doubt its the tank size that mathers tho since they got plenty of moving space still.

Different fish have different territory parameters. Especially since your sn was eating before and is not since the new addition. Those measurements looks like you're rtc double the lenght your sh? Does its mouth look large enough to eat the sh?
I believe there's a saying, 'if it can fit in it's mouth, it can be food'.

I'm no pro though I can't keep either here. Sn=Illegal, Not enough room for RTC. heh

the snakehead finds himself a corner and hangs out there it seems. when ever the RTC comes close he trys to go another place.
